Just for Something Different

Now I follow a lot of blogs and I am sure that many of you do too. But what I am going to do is once a week or even once every two weeks I am going to post a link to a blog that I follow and I really hope that one or two of you who read my blog will click on the link and find a new blog to follow..... does that make sense :)

So starting tomorrow I will post a link that might take you to a new world..........

Oh and some blogs I follow tend to appeal to my sense of humor so for that I apologise in advance - just remember that you can always use the back arrow....

Still Here and Things To Show You

Yep I am still here and everything is pretty much still the same ole same ole.

But I do have some stuff to show you..........

Lizzie Kate's Dog Lessons for People is finally finished. I love doing LK designs as there is no backstitching :)
This was stitched on 32ct Tan Temptations from http://www.sassysfabbys.com/ using DMC.

I am just waiting now for the fabric to arrive from the US to start my next major project meanwhile I am stitching on some UFO's that I have accumulated over the years LOL

I have also dragged out the sewing machine wiped away the dust bunnies and made a couple of things. The funny thing was I needed to wind a new bobbin and had to find the instruction booklet to help me out, yes I don't use my machine nearly enough LOL.

Here is one of first things I finished off this weekend using re purposed fabrics - the black velvet is a cut off that someone sent me and the purple lining is the top half of an outfit I bought years ago (read shirt and what was I thinking when I bought it!!). I still have the skirt to pull apart and reuse but I have some ideas floating around already. I tend to save ribbons from stuff that I get and I managed to use that too.
It is a bag to hold my tarot cards.

And finally I came across a couple of tea towels that my mum had sent me over the course of the last couple of years and they are really to nice to dry dishes with so what better thing to do with them than............ta da............sew them together and make a tablecloth. I still need to edge them but I found some kiwi themed fabrics in my stash and I will see what I can do with that.

Well that is what I have been up to over the last few weeks. I love the cooler weather as the creativeness seems to flow better and nothing better than settling down in front of the heater, watching tv and being crafty.
